Leights: How can I forget your great cooking - the passion you shared with all of us for goodt food - driving through the back lands of Jamaica and sampling all the street - side vendors cooking, it was all so wonderful - had a few tummy aches, but it was all good and in the end such great memories - love you Leights and thank you for being such a wonderful brother.
Love and miss you

How well do I remember the time of your incubation, and your steady growth in my mother's womb.  I recall going to the place of your birth to get a first glimpse of you, and how I cried when I laid eyes on your beautiful little face.  Though I never saw the color and brightness of your eyes, I believed one day you would know me as your sister.

How my heart pounded when I heard you cry.  I just wanted to swoop you up into my little arms and comfort you.  For a while I watched you from afar, I knew some day you would grow bigger and become more accessable to me.  I remember the day that you smiled at me for the first time, my heart was about to burst with joy.

Tears filled my eyes because I felt that innocence and purity of my baby brother connecting with me. I thought, atlast, he knows me now, he loves me, his eyes danced with glee as he smiled at me.  You must have been about three months old, Grand-ma had you proped up with a pillow in her wash pan, and I was told to watch you.  I had you all to myself that day.

It was on that day that we became friends for life, my little brother. I listened to your beautiful sounds as you developed your language acquisition. I learned to clean your mouth, as you were teething and drooling saliva from your mouth. I held your bottle to your mouth when Grand-ma would let me.  she always had you snuggled in her arms. I would stand and watch you as you peacefully slept.

I must stop here for now but I'll be back as I collect my most memorable moments I spent with you on this side of God's creation, earth.

Uncle Leighton, I remember when you were in corporate America doing your thing. I was so proud of you, that I just kept bragging to others about my uncle. Your standards were one to be imulated. I also remember you as the dart champion with numerous awards in an establishment in Grand Central Station right below my place of employment. I made others wish they had an uncle like you! I will misss you, and I was glad I was able to tell you that I love you before you left this earth and transitioned to your fathers house with your nephews Howard, David your cousin Wesley, Aunt Enid, your brother in law Alfred and Grandma Loretta Williams.
